RC8. My Memory Having a RC Car. My No 4 and 5 RC. 1/10 - 2002, 2 units QD RC car.

That the end of my friend hobby after married. But for me I didn’t stop there, in 2002 when the EP RC in the name of QD 1/10 scale in the market (Made In China). China copycat Japan Tamiys QD RC. Many people buy and modified and play. I bought two 2002 EP QD RC Car a Peugeot and a Mitsubishi Evo (RTR), Picture. Price for 2 RM140. I modified but it didn’t give me satisfaction. For me the GP RC still the best.

The original QD RC from Tamiya. Some parts almost same with China QD. But material  quality Tamiya is better.

This chassis is same as the Mitsubishi car. To use Mitsubishi  body just extend the front parts.

Just loosen the 4 screw and pull forward

The 4 screw trade just adjust the front parts.

My first modification, using Car Relay,  No Reverse. I just follow the car that my friend have modified. But his relay is small.

2009 i modified this QD Mitsubishi, using Futaba Receiver and servo. The steering  using Futaba 3003 servo no more small motor. Did,t changing the  Motor, Run condition not fast. Just for fun to do modification when free time.

The Over View.

I change the Motor in 2011, using car power window motor 12v. Look like it better then the original motor. To run faster i using a 7.2V 5100 mAh  NiMh Battery. To go more faster i use 9V Battery.

At side to prevent dust going in 

Just simple cut two pcs aluminium plate and tighten to hold the motor

On 22/9/2020 for rc parts hunting at nilai found the steering arm. Metal material. Those days when play ruff on road surfaces the arm will break very thin plastic. If not mistaken a set Rm25. Not buying because this was a toys grade. Until i found it in this rc shop whare many QD parts left un sold. Some in loose. So found 2 and after so long i fitted in. Next 2 set 

Found in loose parts ,only few sen because i buy many rc parts in a bunch.

The plastic arm eazy break,  my i modified using s long screw.
