RC5. My Memory Having A RC Car. My no 1 RC. 1/12 - 1994 Digitcon Jumbo Wheels.

I Started to work in 1993 after 3 years Automotive course in Cheras, on that time i was age 25. Even that i still love RC Car. In 1994 after i get my first year bonus i bought a RC Big Foot by DIGITCON JUMBO WHEELS Scale 1/12 Made in China (RTR), Rear wheel drive, speed up to 82mph, With two speed Low and High and with Turbo speed. The price RM150 in SOGO KL pic. This is my first RC car that i bought with my own money. I very happy to own this monster truck, today it still function. In 2009 and 2010 due to itchy hand i modified this Jumbo Wheel.
In 2019 i found a big foot almost same, Tamiya QD clodbuster truck 1/14 scale. The diffrent the front bumper tamiya is small, no sport light at back, Remote and some suspension arm in colour. China copy Tamiya.

Start bloog = 9/7/2008
Last update bloog = 04/01/2023
Total Spending on parts = Rm0
1994 - 2023 = 29 Years

hi! im Guilherme from Brazil..
I know it's been a long time, but do you still have yours? I still have mine LOL
nice post by the way!
Today I started to repair mine to give to my 4 year old daughter...
May i ask a question?
Was it necessary to make any changes to the original circuit to receive the 9.6V battery? Or was it just adapting the connection?

nice to meet you!

If the original circuit still can use no need to change anything. If damage then u need to modified.
This is a clone RC of Tamiya Clod buster. I bought this cheap toy grade RC made in China. Originsl circute Use 12v battery to operate and use 27mhz can't go far. So i modified using cheap ESC and AM Receiver, that can change mhz Example 27.125, 27.095 27.255. Use 7.2 v battery. The motor i use original 12v.
Know days 2.4 aveleble can use, just buy the 2.4 Radio system.

Original using 8 pcs AA 1.5v mean 12v, For the original circuit board, i not sure if use 9.6v battery on this circute. U can try just change the connector. Use nimh or nicd low mAh.
lipo battery will burn the board because hight boost.
