Fishing 5. MY FISHING HOBBY. (Other River Fish i fish)

After no more staying in estate, and start working in Kuala Lumpur 1993.The fishing activity location shifted to abandoned mining pond or pay to fish pond. 

River in seremban and KL not same as the jungle river in Johor. Most river is been upgrade into cement, the river water also polluted or muddy when raining.

The pay to fish pond is expensive also, the first 3 hour is RM30, additional hour RM10. Patin fish, Tilapia fish, Catfish, Bawal pirahna, 

Keli (Cat fish) (Clarias Batrachus) 

Most of the time release back or i give to some one near bye. Don’t like to eat this fish. This fish leave nearly every ware in pond or river with muddy or dark water. It can reach 2 to 3 kg. 

Ketutu /Ikan Hantu (Oxyeleotris)

In Malaysia this fish is expensive, the Chinese people love to eat this fish. If this fish catch in the wild more value. It almost same as sea Grouper. It only eat bait when u bait near to him. Stay at abounded  mining pond . I catch one of this fish in Semenyeh Pond, one of my friend say he will interchange all his tilapia fish with this fish, but iI did,t  change, take back and cook.

Lampam Jawa (Schwanenfield Barb) (Barbus Schwanenfeldi)

Mostly stay in clean water .In Malaysia jungle river or dam. Very active fish use light tackle to catch this fish. I catch at Taiping Lake or Taman Negara river Pahang.

Patin (Cat fish) (Pangasius Sp)

Can leave in muddy river. Size reach 1 to 3 kg. Shah Alam river have this fish and size. My catch is 1.5 kg using light tackle 12pound line, It fun. Know days even pay pond can catch this fish more bigger size.

Haruan (Snake Hade) (Channa Striatus)

Same game fish. Only use frog as bait. Leave in river near padi field or mining pond. Casting most people use to catch this fish. Me catch this fish using bottom fishing . Chinese people love to eat this fish. For me C&R.

Pacu / Bawal Piranha (Colossoma Bidens)

New fish in Malaysia. Never catch this fish in our river yet. Mostly in pay pond. Very strong fighting fish . I always use my light tackle to catch this fish.
