This my project convert a brontosaurus truck 94111 to HSP Kutiger rally car 94118 2012. Because i have extra parts for brontosaurus that still can rebuild the fourth truck and add another Rm160 to complete it. But i already have 3 units so this last unit i will convert to other type HSP Rc or came out with mix HSP parts. This my no 31 units RC.

Front without gearbox

To make the front stand stronger, add two bracket to hold the shock tower

The Steering set A without spring inside

No gear cover only one side no adjustable link to hold the wheel hub

The front full set gearbox reach, buy for Rm23.32 + Rm6 pos. Fix in first. Few more parts on the way. Again i remove this gearbox and found out no greese. Add in greese and shim on ball bearing too many free play.

When open the cover, diff no greese

Dry and very clean

Inside also no greese

All remove and apply greese

In and out diff all greese

My first choice HSP Kutiger Rally car 94118. Only need to buy

Some parts not sale in Malaysia, International yes. Other parts same as 94107 buggy. My hsp short couse i need to change to aluminium alloy suspention arm so the plastic arm will put to this units. If i spend building this unit it course me Rm200++

To test it out i use my HSP 94107 buggy platform, remove front bumper, rear wing, front body stay and change the normal rally size wheels. Turn out not match need to use wheels diameter 85mm. Try use my Evo body not match either. Need more wider body cover.

Front no bumper. Hard to get so try use HSP flying Fish

So Need to buy 85mm diameter wheels around Rm50

Change to buggy wheels.

The 94118 rally car. No bumper, body and body post.

Then try use evo body too small, mean the HSP kutiger body is wider. Another extra money to buy the kutiger body around rm60 to rm100.

Final, i convert this brontosaurus to kutiger Rally car 94118. See how much i need to spend for this project. Spending only for parts don't have. To cut course i don't want to buy another 4 pcs shock. Current have 4 longer brontosaurus so can use for a rally car. For suspension front/rear i using plastic parts from my HSP short course truck whare i change to aluminium alloy.

Final spending to build this HSP Kutiger Rally 94118 16/1/2021 is RM278.56 Only left to change the adjustable linkages, just remove from my first brontosaurus that i change to aluminium alloy linkage. So easy for HSP RC not like other rc can't interchange parts example Kyosho Fazer to V one 4R total diffrent chassis and parts.

Nothing to do still waiting for parts. So i remove the plastics suspension arm from my HSP short course truck and fitted to this units first. Already order aluminium alloy suspension for my SCT.

On 2/1/2021 the front bumper reach Rm9. Can't get the kutiger bumper not sale in shoopie or lazada, so i buy 94123 parts, try up not fit so i modified it.

Top view not match the bumper hold and chassis, drill other hold and tighten with screw/nut.

Bottom, chassis attach straight line with bumper need to cut off some area and redrill new hole

On 7/1/2021 got another 4 item. All parts is Rm60. The front reinforcements plate purple, rear body post, Rally Wheels and rear bumper.

All 4 items buy from shoopie Rm60

Open from my second brontosaurus truck that i change to Aluminium alloy battery 4 side bracket.

15/1/2021, order a HSP Kutiger Rally Body reach. No other body can match this 94118 chassis. This is original body, very thick material buy for Rn105 from Cheras Malaysia. If from China Rm150++. This is Ford Fiesta 2012 body. This body very wide and big, when compare with my Tamiya TB01 rally so much different in size.

Drill the body hold according to mark given,

Remove the plastic wrap before put on the sticker.

On 16/1/2021, got the gear cover, put some greese on gear and cover.

Buy for Rm16.45.

Add greese on gear, next change the drive gear to metal.

The aluminium alloy linkages for my Brontosaurus 1 reach, i remove all the original linkages and fix to this units. If extra money will do changes to all parts.

Front suspension and steering

For the electrical i use the HSP motor, ESC and flysky receiver.

Use back a 550 HSP brush motor

The HSP ESC that can use lipo and Nicd battery at top add a fan with wire mesh.

Using the 2.4hz flysky Receiver

My DIY a aluminium cover for the receiver. Not a dust or water proof cover. Receiver not a water proof but esc yes.

For servo i use a basic 3kg from HL

25T purple servo horn.

I remove all the shock absorber from my HSP buggy 94107 lengths 78mm for this kutiger. Before using 108mm length for HSP brontosaurus. Buggy better use longer shock.

All change to 78mm shock absorber

On 10/2/2021 maint gear change to metal 64T. Add greese and few gear oil, then cover back.

Final image

Modified a carry hook at center eazy to lift the car. Most time i will grab the bumper or chassis.

Use a M4 adjustable linkage

I have buy extra aluminium hex adapter 25mm blue colour fix in this hsp. No more using m4 lock nut to tighten the rim, using a bigger nut.

Both side i add pcs of aluminium plate cover to prevent more stone hit on the parts. Will become more dirty if playing on earth road without the side cover.

16/4/2021, parts hunting in seremban buy the steering set aluminium blue and add a aluminium battery holder post blue. The steering only Rm25 and battery post Rm8
