RC1. My RC STORY
I start writing blog in Jun 2008, I started my RC hobby 1994. That why most my RC BODY and CHASSIS show in picture look old. This my new hobby from 1994 until today 2024, just play, collection, modification and self study on RC product. So far my collection or parts not for sale, even buy loose parts in bunch is for modification. Not doing sale service or joint race, just my own interest.
Anyway hope everyone enjoy reading.
From small my father buy me toy car that can push forward or reverse with sound, made in China with tin body in 1970. To go fast i need to roll roll hard until some speed and then release. But all that tin car i have long lose.
The picture sample of tin car. Most shop that era sale a lot of tin toy car, buses, lory or train. If not mistaken the price around Rm5 to Rm15 in 1970 depend on size.

6/4/2022. Found my brother tin car is from 1978. Don't know what name of this car.
The in 1974 some china toy car came with battery operate toy car problem always need battery 2 D size. I still remember my auntie from singapore bought me a battery operate Tank. Need to assembly most plastik parts and a small motor using 2 AA battery. But that tank damage and throw away. Bottom picture show the battery opererate car still i have it. But missing all the electric component.

In year 1980 ++, On my birthday my father ask me what i want? I say a car. I got it on my birthday but is a musical car. Hahaha. Still keep until todays. Wheels can turn.

From 1978 playing car toy change to buying small scale car from MatchBox and Majorette. Always take outside to play on ground mosly construction truck. Even i play on a table whare i draw a small city and put the car in each house. Just draw a square it mean house. Not like this days Tomica came out with a city view base. Until 2024 i already collected 1232 units. See my blogger

1988 started another new hobby regarding car, when i stay in sungai siput, go ipoh super kinta shooping buy model car 1/24 plastic model from Fujimi, Tamiya. But still not satisfied due to static car can't move around and more expensive this days 2024. For display purpose, if drop most parts will break, buy when cheep sale or in assembly condition.

Then the exciting came end up addicted to this activity until today 2024. My first RC is 1/12 scale toy grade Big Foot DIGITCON EP clone Tamiya QD Clod Buster, buy for Rm150 in SOGO KL with my first job Bonus Money end year 1994. Start knowing more RC in 1995 when my friend ask me to buy EP but change to GP, my first nitro rc KYOSHO GP SPIDER 1/10 buy for Rm1600 year end 1995 in kindland toysYohan Mall . 1996 my rc become more advance with upgrade parts and engine. Year after year i buy more new and secondhand rc. Always look into Mudah.com, lelong.com or Taiwan sale, Ebay too expensive.
Today 2024 still playing and buy new or hunt for secondhand RC mostly 1/10, I love to study and dismental RC car, that why always find secondhand RC most owner seldom clean or service, this is the time i learn and modified, if parts damage or no more sale because vintage, It fun DIY the parts or use other brand parts do some modification or use 3D pen printer. RC not only fun in running in high speed buy it make us thing and thing how to upgrade, modified or repair.

Some friend of mine says playing RC is expensive, the increase due to crashing your RC. Like beginer every time play go fast and fast. Another problem in tuning the engine until lean to get more power, less lubricant into engine over heat end result conrod break or jem up or fuel with small dirt scratch the piston, more $$. Other problem up grade to get more power on engine, piston liner grind on intake or exhaust port. Other poblem is no service after playing full of dirt or oil on parts. Like belting it will damage when touching oil.
Electric RC the ESC only can stand this much of battery amp power but want go more faster use more bigger amp battery, at last burn the ESC and Motor. This all problem depend on owner, some they take serious and some just to have fun. The main thing is our Money. Buy cheap rc no quality fast damage. Buy branded rc too expensive. Another thing always sent rc to fix a parts or repair in rc shop, tĥey charge for it, do it your self. Like wheel alaiment buy the cheap set if really love RC.
The brand i like most is Kyosho, Tamiya, Serpent, Team Magic. In year 2013 to 2017 my RC hobby stop, not much income just do part time job. All my RC is in good condition, the engine i will turn to prevent stuck and add after run oil. In this few year i always look into RC for sale but can't buy just let it go. I just play for fun not going intrace. I not pro in reparing Eletrical faulty. Love to own all brand vintage to new.
2018 started back buying new and secondhand RC, started use update parts like 2.4hze or brushless motor. Always looking for cheap RC. 2019 find old and use rc parts that no one want it. Example am remote, receiver Brush ESC, plastic use parts that customers change to aluminium alloy, damage engine parts. All this old version i will fit in my old rc. My Engine range from 11 to 18 only, most for 1/10 scale rc i own. 2021 just own a 1/8 nitro truck.

2) Touring (Nitro) you can feel the top speed and best of all when your car in accident or lost control.In my mine i have a crazy idea, want to use a 1/10 touring car and drive in top speed and crash it in the wall and use a camera to record the action but no Money to do that.
3)Drift i don't like.
aku pun memula RC main buggy...masa tu my late father bought it for me..tahun 96..mmg layan off-rod..jump here and there...masa tu area umah ada byk kawasan belum contruction lg..just bukak tanah sahaja...but akhirnya rosak..sbb lalu kat air lecak..hahahaha..aku pun tak tahu mana g buggy tu..dah buang kot..
now teringin main RC kapal terbang plak..tgh kira2 bajet lg..
