RC78. My Memory Having RC CAR. My 51 Car. HSP Tyrannosaurus 94108 1/10 nitro truck 2001

My first 2024 RC, buy on 17/3 secondhand nitro truck. No 51units, Saller from Shah Alam Selangor from Rm200 reduced to Rm180. Nitro truck HSP Tyrannosaurus 94108 introduced to market 2001. 

No body, no Remote, no acc servo, single speed, look on this truck not much heavy run bottom chassis less scratch. For parts no problem same as Brontosaurus and sonic. The size same as HSP Brontosaurus 94111.

Fault Found

1. No body

2. No 4 pcs wheels

3. No acc servo

4. No remote 

5. No receiver 

6. Is a pull start engine but change to rotor.

7. E clip missing Rear rhs suspension pin

8. All wheel use plastic hex hub. Wheel will not turn if nut too tight.

9. Engine cyclinder head paint damage

10. Exhaust pipe dent

11. Engine hard tu turn

12. Caburetor hard to turn

13. One engine mounting screw hard to remove.

14. Front 4pcs damper shaft rusty.

15. Engine crankshaft trade rusty

16. Brake linkage tighten with long screw not allen screw.

17. Radio box cover screw missing 1 pcs.

18. All wheel hub not using ballbearing 

19. Steering mounting screw missing bottom. 

20. All Damper oil low

21. All the dogbone no rubber at end.

22. Steering set no ballbearing 

23. No wheels nut

24. Front shock absorber 3 pcs damper shaft dent.

25. All lower suspention arm bend. (Soft plastic)

Got the truck on 3/5/2024. After visually check this trunk very new, fine scratch under chassis, Very clean, but found out engine can't turn. After remove engine slow turn but hard. Overall this a new RC but not fully play. I think just two tank, small amount of sand and oil on chassis. But have a accidents dented the exhaust outlet and 3 damper shaft dent. i am not fully service or dismental, check the axle greese, damper oil, clean up and fix few option parts. Happy got another nice clean nitro RC in cheap prices. Usually secondhand with dirty chassis around rm400 to rm500.

Funny long screw tighten the brake linkage. Ori using allen screw

Under chassis not heavy scratch

Bottom view front. Mosly rc in heavy play the front chassis will heavy scratch.

Under rear

all 4 pcs lower suspention arm dent. See it when replace all to aluminium alloy.

No scratch for engine mounting screw

Inside radio tray clean, the wire hole been cut bigger.

Only one screw very hard to remove. Use Drilling and fire finaly out.

All wheels no ballbearing copper bushing 

The caburetor valve hard to turn

Paint drop will remove.

The gear bell opening gap and change colors over heat

top radio tray.

The Vertex 18 engine, very clean

Change from pull start to rotor.

Look like clutch Bell overheat it change colour.

Very clean no slug only inner bearing tight.

Glow plug ok

All engine parts remove

Missing bottom screw steering mounting rhs 

Clean fuel tank 

Center proppeler shaft each end no rubber

All damper low oil

Still with greese Will add few.

The axle using ballbearing 

Steering set no ballbearing, parts will change to aluminium alloy. 

Single speed with many small gear. Diffrent system use.

Few parts dismental 

Found 3 pcs damper shaft dent have 2 pcs badly. 

All parts remove, add oil, 

The shaft rusty

Still new Greese front axle

Axle gear full of greese 

The receiver battery can use recharge.

Change to aluminium alloy steering set

Front axle done service

Add new aluminium wheel nut

All damper refill and 3 dent shaft replace.

New servo 996R

The dogbone end, with cut out rubber spacer

New steering set with ballbearing 

Using my left over Brontosaurus wheels.

Heat it up then pull the outlet stright reduce the dent. 

Remove all the damage paint then I repolish

Bottom 

The clutch spring I change new

Done service, the compression still tight mean engine in 95% good. When turn flywheel feel smoothly like new, not tight before.

Add a turning disc 

Add fuel filter and exhaust air cooler 

Change outer bearing first, inner no stock

Rear dogbone I change to UJ

Change the exhaust manifold to sport type

Done finish in 2 days. Next parts will be aluminium alloy. 

7/5/2023 buy 2 aluminium blue damper mounting Rm20 only.

14/5/2024 got the steering hub and rear lower suspention arm.
